The Ferdinand Sauer M.D. Family BirthPlace at The Hospital of Central Connecticut.
The Family BirthPlace is staffed by obstetricians, neonatologists and nurses specializing in labor and delivery and newborn care. Other specialists are available on site, 24 hours a day if needed.
We provide expert care during labor and delivery and after delivery in a warm, home-like environment. Our Special Care Nursery offers advanced technology and treatments for babies who are born early or require special treatment.
Extensive education and support services include pre-birth classes, BirthPlace tours for babies’ siblings and nationally certified lactation consultants who can help with breastfeeding.
